I saw Toad the Wet Sprocket recently and it was truly awesome, it definitely reminded me to do this more often!

Two are weddings and I was not mentally prepared to book them already because I want to think that is WAY MORE than half a year away, but alas, here I am

I have vacations (like, actual travel!) planned for November, December, and January so I hope someone is jealous of me then 😁

I am intensely jealous of the people with OOO replies right now, particularly when they were OOO on a *different* vacation when I sent out a big email last month

I got my hair cut much shorter than I'd asked for and every time I see myself in the mirror it's like a jump scare because I keep forgetting

My 12 y.o. just described herself as "apprenticing to be an adult" and I think that's an incredible turn of phrase

We also chose Ruby because she is more red, but I love the addition of Rei ❤️

Pearl is usually a regal majestic princess but sometimes she's just a goofy ball of fluff

He's selling his house so he will hopefully be someone else's problem soon!

I take solace in the knowledge that everyone hates this guy

It's like the secret handshake of my street, the way we all glare at his house whenever we stop to chat

I have three weddings to attend between July and January and just booked travel for the second.

Please no one else I know get married anytime soon I love celebrating love but I need time for my bank account to recover

This is one of the reasons I am so passionate about the Caleb Scholars program. We give students funds to return home to learn from elders as they go to school, and we find undergrads though professional/PhD programs bc I know how hard it was to return home during grad school.
