Sir Tom Shakespeare said the Bill is more compassionate and safer than the current law — and evidence from countries where assisted dying for terminally ill adults is legal shows that these laws work safely.

I went without for a year. It was an interesting experiment. Amazing in most ways. Massively burdensome in very few ways where mobile usage was basically a requirement to engage.

With exciting news coming from me soon about this:

I'm so thoroughly enjoying teaching a critical disability studies course to incarcerated individuals this semester.

I'm heading to Ottawa in November to talk and think about MAiD in Canada.

I was a recipient of an H1-B and neither I nor my institution could have afforded that fee. We barely could afford it as it was.

I'm playing in the oldest interclub golf competition in North America today.

I'm not a "beach person" primarily because of my vitiligo and thus, my inability to be in the sun.

I should also note that she is and was remarkably independently minded and doesn't buy into that shit. So my job was easy.

What worries me most is not the message these people send young men, but it is the message they send young women about what to expect and hope for in men. They're conditioning both men and women to value toxic and gross traits.

I met my stepdaughter when she was 15. I always thought that the primary responsibility I had beyond the obvious ones of love and care, was to show her a more positive version of what men can be and for me, that was being sensitive, smart, caring, and the polar opposite of the Andrew Tate bullshit.
