I kinda feel bad for highguard because genuinely it would have had at least a shot given time and proper advertising, but geoff had to shoot it through the head with the game awards

I just don’t see why they continue to lose money making incomplete games over and over and having to lay off their entire team rather than just make a full . fucking game. that people would buy for the value it provides at launch .

yeah i really dont see why developers (or executives, whoever has the final say) keep putting out games that rely on massively succeeding to continue operating. not only does it mean ur getting less at launch, but it also means ur not getting any improvements that could have made the game better

i don’t think i can think of a single example where executive meddling or attempts at mass appeal do anything to improve a game’s player numbers, it always just makes people hate it more. why wont they do . literally fucking anything other than what has failed 50x over???

genuine question but do game executives like . learn ?
i feel like theres a million examples of giant companies putting out some big hyped up game only for it to massively flop for being too generic or smth.
like they just keep ramming their heads into a stone wall and not ever trying anything else?
