Also - there's a fair amount of research showing that we retain more of what we read on paper than what we see on screens. So "you can never forget if you are reading a book" if it's on paper. Not sure if your statement can apply to eBooks.

I think it depends on the genre of the book and the age/background of the reader. While I'm an ink-on-paper dinosaur, I've sold more eBooks than paper ones, something I never expected. Also - vinyl disks are making a comeback[sound quality] & people use digital techniques to mimic film -go figure!

A small fire at the front of the bookshop was started last night after rubbish bags that were awaiting collection were set on fire. The guards don’t have reason at this time to believe it was a targeted attack. Thankfully the damage was limited and everyone is safe. We are open for business as usual
