When the US pushed to embargo Chinese companies over "national security concerns", there were zero deals calling for European countries to do the same thing, and yet most of EU followed suit and decreased the presence of companies such as Huawei on their infrastructure. That's bending the knee.

I'm expecting them to actually bend the knee soon enough, the EU is quick to cater to the USA rather than seeking alternatives such as the recent deal with Mercosul (which some countries in the EU are eager to make it go away) or simply not following the USA's example of hampering deals with China.
