Much of Minnesota is experiencing or expecting heavy snow this weekend - a reminder to check with neighbors in hiding in case they need supplies, and to take care of shoveling sidewalks for them.

ICE is still here. Today there were multiple abductions just outside Minneapolis, and a persistent ICE presence in downtown. (They were so illegally parked that tow trucks showed up - please enjoy these videos)

And today, Jacob Frey failed to do the bare minimum and give neighbors time to recover and put their lives back together.

I know it feels like the day-to-day intensity of the ICE occupation in Minnesota has calmed down, but there are so many lagging problems that need solving, right as people’s attention goes elsewhere. Financial assistance, like help with rent, and legal help for the detained. These horrors persist.

Today brought revelations of more ICE lies - this time about the murder of Ruben Ray Martinez in Texas in March 2025.
ICE continues to lie about their operations, about how they do their work, and even when they murder our neighbors.

We suspect you have your bills mixed up- Pause Evictions, Save Lives extends the 30 day notice period to 60 days. That’s within the purview of the city government.

This weekend, Minneapolis is waiting to see if Jacob Frey will sign the Pause Evictions, Save Lives policy passed by the City Council.
The mutual aid fundraising has been enormous, but the needs continue, even as donations have slowed.

Today we’re celebrating Jason Chavez, a local hero in the resistance to ICE.

Minnesotans are not generally people who engage in long hugs, but the last 3 months have changed that.
The hugs now are long and meaningful, whether between old friends or people who just met responding to ICE calls.
Our love for community keeps us safe.

Today more than 70 neighbors testified to Mpls City Council members - the vast majority of testifiers were in support of extending pre-eviction notice to 60 days.
Our neighbors need more time, and we hope the council will vote to approve on Thursday.

As ICE continues to terrorize communities, the threat of evictions continues to loom.
Tuesday at 9:30 at Mpls City Hall, neighbors are gathering to say: No Evictions Under Occupation!

Today at the Whipple building, HCSO deputies violently assaulted and arrested protesters.
Meanwhile, Minnesotans are raising money and paying rent for thousands of our neighbors.

It may seem as if everyone in MN is furiously raising rent for our neighbors, trying to prevent a massive eviction crisis on top of the federal occupation.
That’s because Minnesotans know that we keep each other safe, and no one is coming to save us.
