This month's design is a fun one! And one I've been meaning to do for a while now, continuing one of my series. Can you guess what I'm cross stitching? π
Hint: It's definitely one people have asked for before.

Ever want to stretch your own cross stitch? I've got a written tutorial up on my website, as well as a video version.
Works with any size project! From the big wall pieces to small pieces stretched over premade frames in fun shapes!

These matching Dice Throne & Dice Jail biscornu designs are now available on my Etsy!
Cross stitch your very own dice cushion and reward your high rollers or punish your misbehaving dice as needed. π

Very interesting π€π€
A lil closeup of this month's cross stitch project. A sea of half-stitch in pastel colors.
Doesn't seem like much, but I bet there's a few of you that somehow know what I'm stitching based on just this. π
How fun are these colors though??

This WIP wednesday, I bring you... uhh, something. Just stitching away on this mystery pattern. A lil piece I'm working on for the blog. Very curious to see how this turns out. π
Patrons will be able to see it this Saturday. Are you ready? Any guesses for what this might π?

Ever tried #CrossStitch w/metallic threads and absolutely hated it? -- I'm begging you to try again with a different brand.
DMC Light Effects are easy to find, but are difficult to work with. DMC also makes the MoulinΓ© Γtoile pictured or the Diamant line, which are both better. So are other brands!
Very excited for this month's Patreon cross stitch pattern! A pretty interesting color palette we've got going on on here. Browns, olive greens, burgundy, and... pastel pink/blue? π€
Hint: It's one people have requested several times!
After years of being roughly crammed in a frame without care, I finally went back and re-framed this #crossstitch!
So I decided to film the process and put it on YouTube in case you're curious how I go about framing things now, and to see exactly how lazy I was years ago. π

A lil' throwback to one of my favorite biscornu designs, featuring the Silent Princess of Legend of Zelda fame.
Interesting seeing this old photo though. I definitely fill my biscornu more now to make them more, uh, 'plump'. And my photography/editing has definitely improved a lot
over the years!
Heck yeah mouse gang!
Larger canvas would be nice sometimes, but I feel ya on only having time for smaller areas. Cross stitching it all takes tiiiime. π Even just a 15x15 square takes an hour of stitching.
Just really wanted to share these gloves I crocheted recently. I used the same yarns I used for my knitted kitty hat last year so they'd match! They turned out super cute!
Tis a free pattern I found on ravelry.

Anyway, that's all, just some crochet.
I realllly want to do more beaded patterns this year. But I feel like I kinda... forget I have beads when I'm designing?
I do like having an entire set of Mill Hill beads though. Even if it's just a tiny amount of each. Makes it real easy to visually pick out the right color beads in person!
Another project I need to FFO. I'm thinking maybe a shadowbox with some faux flowers around to give it dimension? But what else can I do?
Throw your ideas at me for finishing this! Doesn't have to be the shadowbox, either. Just wild ideas to make this more magical.

It's less tutorialy and more of a list of examples of the kinds of cool shit people get up to with their cross stitch, but I hope it's useful and inspires even more amazing projects!
This month's article is all about 3D #crossstitch. Ways to stitch more than just flat framed pieces and hoops!
Whether that's as simple as a biscornu or pendibulle, or a complex multi-pieced plastic canvas project designed to look like a small castle.

Absolutely no shame in trailing stitches across
the back. Especially with finishes like biscornu where it
does not matter at all if it's a little 'lumpy' π
Besides, the backsides are prettier this way. Look how
lovely they look!

This month I've been trying to make progress on this tunic top I started back in 2024. It's been pretty slow going though. Not even much to see here yet. π
It has been a nice change of pace though!
Happy Lunar New Year to all who celebrate! Hereβs to a prosperous New Year filled with happiness, health, and lots of good luck!
Considering how rough a start January has been, I'm all for getting rid of that negative energy and starting fresh with the Lunar New Year. π€£

Behold, the biscornu Dice Jail / Throne is now on Patreon!
I planned for a double-sided biscornu so you could just flip it to the appropriate side as called for. But photographing double-sided things is annoying, so I made two instead. π€£

Those are freebies over on my ko-fi if you'd like to make your own! π€£
The Biscornu basket sure has grown over the years. But believe it or not that second photo was just two years ago. π And the new one isn't even all of them, they wouldn't all fit on frame and also I couldn't be bothered to go hunt them all down. π
#crossstitch #stitchsky
Looking for a specific color in number order is like hunt!
I've got a super nerdy set of patterns coming upon Patreon this weekend! Here's just a small peek at one of them! I'm sure many of you recognize this shape. π But do you have any guess what I might be planning here?
#crossstitch #stitchsky
Do you sort your bobbins by number? Or by color? I... do both.
Is having two full sets of threads necessary? Absolutely not. But in my defense one set is actually CXC threads with are waaaay cheaper. π CXC is sorted by color, and DMC by number.
#crossstitch #stitchsky
These patterns are all now up on Etsy! If you're looking for some fun cross stitch designs that are quick to stitch and great for seasonal decor! The two spring themed ones are new, but they fit in great with my Cornucopia and Cauldron designs.
#crossstitch #stitchsky
I'm not really a V-day kinda person. But it can be fun to design or stitch things outside your normal projects. Pinks and reds? Hearts? A new type of finish? First beaded border? That's how I manage to still be obsessed with this hobby after DECADES. Always trying something new!
#crossstitch
We're planning to move soon therefore I opened the Etsy shop & added a 25% discount on all of the embroideries!
www.etsy.com/shop/SutisEm...
Moving to a new town is quite pricy so if anything catches your eye please don't hesitate, every littlebit helps & thank you! π
'Ancient Badger', 'Ancient Feline'...
Wow, rude.
This WIP Wednesday features... not much. But clearly it's another biscornu because that's typically when I do backstitch borders like this. I always mark every 5 stitches because I can't be trusted to count higher than 5 π€£
