Not to be a Debbie downer but I have such deep lingering heart OUCHIES about the Pixar film Up because of this story - in summary, a terminally ill 10-year-old girl's dying wish was to see the film but was too sick to make it to the cinema so Pixar sent a special DVD - AND SHE DIED THAT NIGHT! 😭

The process was crazy and weirdly emotional - the plaster was applied directly to my face (I had to use a vat of Vaseline to stop my beard being ripped out) and the Polaroid here was taken as part of the artwork – which I just received in the post a few days ago.

Being part of Teresa Margolles' Mil Veces un Instante (A Thousand Times in an Instant) was a crazy incredible experience. The plaster cast I’m holding of my face is one of 726 trans, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming people featured in the installation now on Trafalgar Square's Fourth Plinth.

Using ESO's Very Large Telescope, an international team of astronomers has discovered a stunning rare case of a triple merger of galaxies. This system, which astronomers have dubbed 'The Bird' - although it also bears resemblance with a cosmic Tinker Bell - is composed of two massive spiral galaxies and a third irregular galaxy. In this image, a 30-min VLT/NACO K-band exposure has been combined with archive HST/ACS B and I-band images to produce a three-colour image of the 'Bird' interacting galaxy system. The NACO image has allowed astronomers to not only see the two previously known galaxies, but to identify a third, clearly separate component, an irregular, yet fairly massive galaxy that seems to form stars at a frantic rate.
