Photograph of a circular 'Red Wheel' plaque on a wall. Text on the plaque at the top reads 'NATIONAL TRANSPORT TRUST' and at the bottom text reads 'TRANSPORT HERITAGE SITE'. Text in the middle of the plaque reads 'POWDERHALL STABLES. Baronial-style stables built in 1893 for horses hauling Edinburgh's refuse to the adjacent waste incinerator - the 'Powderhall Destructor'. There is a QR code beneath the text.

Here's the new Red Wheel Plaque at Powderhall Stables on Broughton Road, installed by the National Transport Trust to commemorate its transport heritage. The stables have been refurbished as studio spaces as part of a major project to regenerate Powderhall: www.edinburgh.gov.uk/powderhallre...

We’d like to hear from communities across the city about neighbourhoods they would like to be considered for firework control zones next November. FCZs are for private spaces such as gardens. These zones help reduce noise, stress and littering caused by fireworks.
