Just say it. Like, a lot.
It’s sunny on the south coast and though the wind is here, and it is here to stay, people are wearing shorts and walking around in a kind of spring euphoria. I’ve been actually finding it a little hard to say goodbye to winter—there was something about all that darkness, wet and cold this year that felt like permission to rest, to write, to read, and to nest—very much a timeless vampire vibe.

A couple years ago at a WritingxWriters workshop I had the honor of reading a draft of what is now Erin Steele’s memoir “Sunrise Over Half-built Houses.” As can happen from these writerly spaces, we’ve kept in touch, and part of that was the opportunity to interview her. #queerwriters #electriclit

Dean Spade—lawyer, writer, professor and activist—is offering free online workshops on Mutual Aid. Heather, Anna and I attended the one this past week. This is helping me unlearn and then learn a whole way of thinking—and doing—activism, and it is so important for these times.

Apparently, "A Wounded Deer Leaps Highest" was on this gay book list last year. Had no idea. Anyways, if you need some very queer reading, apparently Good Housekeeping has your back!

Trump’s Anti-Trans Education Order Relies on Intimidation. We Must Not Yield.
If parents, students and educators together refuse these policies, the policies will become unenforceable.
I can't stop thinking about anticipatory obedience, Timothy Snyder's phrase I wrote about in @truthout.org last week. People cutting out trans kids and migrants without even being ordered or asked. Just based on the threat. We need ways to cultivate courage and fast! truthout.org/articles/tru...
