Airplane is by nature a snarky, horny little troll, but his advice on how to be loved is for Binghe to make himself smaller, more docile, cuter. It takes him decades to express his desires in his own relationship and flees the second he does it. The second love takes up space it ends.

It’s not just that - TianSu were happy, Binghe’s mom loved him, and QiJiu were literally bound by a red string of fate.
It’s that Airplane punished any character who believed in love. Love is a death flag in PIDW.
It’s why Bingge is miserable with his wives in turn.
