I’m not upset at you, because I understand that this wasn’t your fault. However, stamps, envelopes and paper checks are tangible goods. When I buy them, they support the economy and the workers who make them. As well as USPS. When I pay an extra dollar online, it goes to.. someone. Someone who decided that they deserved an extra dollar per month from working-class homeowners while providing nothing.

I wish I had the guts to actually send this email to my HOA. She really tried to tell me that the stamp and envelope might cost more than the online $1 convenience fee as though I couldn’t make that calculation myself.

I’ve watched @rifftrax.com “Swing Parade” a few times recently and I’ve become fascinated by Louis Jordan’s song about not worrying about the mule going blind. Turns out it’s an old saying “Don’t worry about the mule going blind, just load the wagon” (don’t fixate on things you can’t control). Huh.
