Alonzo Aragón, 50, and Felicia Aragón, 45, came from Albuquerque — where a companion protest is being held — because they thought the protest at the Capitol would be more significant. It's the first protest they have ever attended.

Artist stitches together shade and style in the heart of Phoenix When you think of quilts, you probably don't picture something billowing in the desert breeze, but that’s exactly what artist Luke Haynes is creating at Sereno Park near 56th Street and Thunderbird.

Quilt Architecture is one of nine installations that will be across Phoenix this summer as part of ¡Sombra!

A me-made t-shirt I just finished in my favorite color. It fits! It’s got a collar! It’s hemmed nicely! And I didn’t have to fight the sewing machine and fabric because I finally nailed the alchemy between walking foot, stretch needles, and tension. 😌

My version of a Libs Elliott pattern that she made using code. I was hooked by the idea and had to do it! “Rebel Quilt” is her title. Perfect.

NYC, it is happening here. ICE agents in plain clothes waited outside a courtroom earlier today to kidnap people. New Yorkers mobilized quickly to block them, but the NYPD, collaborating with ICE, aggressively broke it up and arrested people.
