Up next - some fantasy. I didn't choose this just because the cover is my favourite colour - honest!

Avid reader. Book sniffer. Someone who likes to stare at pieces of paper and hallucinate π #booksky

11.04.2025 10:50 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Does anyone set themselves little reading challenges to keep them reading? I have a goal of 35 books this year but I also try to read 50 pages a day which seems to have helped me get through more books! Do you set yourselves reading challenges?
11.04.2025 10:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm about 100 pages in with this and really enjoying it. A reminder of the strangeness of lockdown but written in a heart-warming way. I love the idea if books being medicine - can I get a prescription? π #booksky

09.04.2025 13:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Book two of the Castle Deverill series. Very much enjoying historical fiction at the moment!
29.03.2025 15:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My next read. Totally strange and the descriptions mess with your head a bit but I'm really enjoying it! Isten is definately a character I can root for. #booksky
22.03.2025 21:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've brought my latest book to the beach - a perfect sunny moment reading with the waves as a relaxing soundtrack! β±οΈβοΈ

15.02.2025 11:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And this is next. I've heard good things about this author so I'm looking forward to getting stuck in!
15.02.2025 10:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My latest read. The way it is told through the point of view of someone with dementia is so poignant. It moves between two time periods - young Maud trying to discover what happened to her lost sister and older, confused Maud who is determined to find out what happened to her best friend Elizabeth.
15.02.2025 10:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Two more books read. I loved Shadows in the Moonlight. I enjoy a good ghost story and this didn't disappoint. Will be looking out for the next book in the series! The Chalk Man was spooky and cleverly written between two time periods. It kept me guessing right until the end!
09.02.2025 19:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've always enjoyed Lisa Jewell's books - ever since Ralph's Party - and her more recent thrillers show how much she has grown as a writer. This one is really hard to put down!
21.01.2025 08:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The boy in the striped pyjamas was harrowing- as expected. Glad I've ticked that one off my TBR though. Now on to something a bit more light-hearted.

Spending some time catching up on my reading journal after a busy day at work. Got started on a new book on my lunch break today - one of those that I haven't yet read but I think I probably should!
I'm completely with you on that. The smell of a used book shop makes me instantly relaxed and I love the anticipation of all those stories! I love my local library too - definately somewhere I go to re-charge!
28.12.2024 08:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Mine has that too! Such a fab idea. I'm 6 chapters in and enjoying it so far. It's a very easy read. Enjoy the Chriatmas Tree Farm!
28.12.2024 08:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I have just downloaded this. Excited to see what it is all about. Will add a review once I'm finished.
27.12.2024 16:16 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Another cosy read for this funny time between Christmas and New Year where you never know how festive is appropriate and there is still all the food! What else is there to do on a gloomy day other than read and eat cheese?
27.12.2024 12:41 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Two beautifully illustrated short story books that I received for Christmas π Feel free to share any of your bookish Christmas gifts with me! #booksky
26.12.2024 20:50 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is my next read. I'm 40 pages in. It's already giving me festive vibes but there is lots of mystery creeping in too!
16.12.2024 12:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've just made a start on this one as recommended by a friend. Only 40 pages in, but I'm already intrigued to see how newly-widowed Elizabeth can get her life back on track after the death of her addicted, riddled-with-debt husband.
02.12.2024 17:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've made an account to talk about all things books. I'll be looking out for bookish people to follow. Feel free to follow me back. Look forward to sharing recommendations with you all!
