Treating myself to the classic breakfast of, uh, empanadas and coffee.

I don't listen to new albums very often and I totally understand that sometimes art isn't made to speak to me but the lyrics on this one seem a bit cringe. Can we have a moratorium on "being c4ncell3d"? (Also probably the word "cringe" TBF.)

Blimey HOUSE OF DYNAMITE is a cheery film eh. Wanna go see the fun PTA film about revolutionary dads again to clear my mind.

I think I maybe finally cracked 30 minutes for a 5k, which is good because I definitely also drank too much beer last night and slept really badly, so I'm going to go find somewhere to sit for a while. Classic 5k-to-couch fitness plan.

Because it's my "birthday" I've bullied my friends into going to The Great Indian. Fvcking love the food here. Weirdly it wasn't hard to convince them

I understand that paying under £5 for a pint of beer is quite the London achievement. Anyway I'm having some early birthday drinks with the two people who are around because that's about all the excitement I need for a birthday.

Okay I did the thing, I went to see it again on IMAX 70mm and it was still great.

I'll have to try them sometime.

I literally got as far as a red carpet outside the Curzon Mayfair only to realise the app just doesn't show dates when the venue is closed. I thought I was booking for today! Oh well! No matter! This cinema is quite pleasant.

In today's film foolishness I looked to see what films were on and booked for The Last Bus but didn't notice I'd booked for tomorrow (I blame the Curzon app) so hurriedly checked for other things and now I'm at the Garden Cinema for the first time to watch some queer 70s Japanese avant garde cinema.

I have some time to catch up with movies later today but I'm genuinely considering going to see One Battle after Another again. I see it's on in 70nm IMAX too...

Okay great let's find out what this VistaVision gimmick is all about eh. I'm hearing good things about this film too.

Oh it turns out there was a women's game there today but Google just didn't tell me about that at all

Always a fun game when getting closer to Holloway Road: is there a home game on or is being festooned with big scarves and shirts with red/white/cannon patterns just an expression of your personal style? Today I think it's the latter.

Whatever happened to Temple of S3itan? It felt like a cool place before I left London and now I'm back five years later it feels like a soulless venture capital led concept

I've spent my Sunday watching films at the ICA so now I've properly experienced some Art.

Makes my heart swell. I should probably see a doctor for that.

My music app just recommended a dabke playlist and I tell you there's nothing like that while walking around to make you feel like a baller. Is that still a word? I'm so 90s

It turns out that every time I've been to a restaurant to celebrate a 15th wedding anniversary, Maya Rudolph has also been dining there. What are the chances eh.

I want to see it, hopefully it will be back. It was sold out for the members sale so I assume there won't be any more seats available at the public sale but fingers crossed.

Found a stash of imperial stouts down the back of a cupboard. Hope this stuff holds up.

I didn't have going to a Darren Aronofsky film on my bingo card for this or frankly any year, let alone quite enjoying it, but there we go.

I don't know what point in my life that people playing soft jazz outside bars became appealing, probably more years ago than I like to admit, but I guess I'm just old now. Seating at gigs also something I appreciate...

A list of coffees called "rarities". One of them, from Panama, is listed at £32. I wonder how much those Panamanians are making for their labour?

I love a fancy high end coffee. I've been living in Melbourne in amongst so many coffee roasters; it's something I've come to appreciate (ok, kinda rely on). But I have to draw the line somewhere, so I guess £32 might as well be it.

How did I just manage to spend so much money on LFF tickets and yet still miss out on some films? Just as well I'm starting a new job

Starting a job today but I put them off so I could get LFF tickets at 10, but I've got more than an hour in a queue apparently. So I guess the job will have to wait

For a 4.5 hour 1970s Portuguese movie in which the actors largely stand around while the narrator reads out the 19th century novel it's based on, DOOMED LOVE was surprisingly engaging. Didn't have a happy ending though.
