Though, SAT/ACTs are pretty difficult to pass since it doesnt just test your knowledge on a subject, it also tests your exam-taking skills, how quickly you can solve a problem and its all under a big time constraint. My brother was an AP student and he took it and he wasnt even close to passing.

Pretty much. If you pass your SATs on a particular subject, i.e. math, then they count towards college credit at the university you apply for. Essentially, if you pass all of your SATs on gen ed courses, you dont have to take them and focus more on your major courses.

So throughout my entire college career, I have not once needed to take the SAT/ACT, the SATs were just a way to expedite your way up through college courses.

Back when I was in high school, community college at the time was painted as the "college for washouts", which was bizarre to call it that, but it was cuz it was fairly easy and cheaper (at the time) to get into. You just needed to take a placement test. Even better if you applied for finaid.

SATs and ACTs are definitely separate from the final exam, but because they're so expensive, in my experience, a lot of students prefer to go to community college then transfer to a 4-year university since its easier and cheaper that way.

That's what this fake "behind-the-scenes" video reminded me of lol
