been weird last night and now its definitely... how do u translate tanglay pfft so far ive been doing the hand exercise things and i slapped a salonpas on it but its still pretty sore
to be fair this is ofc all self-inflicted and i while i have a number of people to blame, i remain the most significant contributor to my own predicament. weirdly im wondering if using the mouse is doin more to my wrist than the typing
one thing they dont tell u about having a day job where u type a buncha code, a post-grad that makes u type a buncha code but also a buncha academic essays, and an in-development ttrpg with necessarily wordy mechanics updates, simultaneously, is that its a matter of when you hurt your wrist, not if
something that i found surprisingly reassuring is seeing people speculate about foundational systems that i designed for the game and reach a conclusion that's similar or almost 1:1 what you designed that foundation to support, before its been explicitly defined as an option or possibility
been awhile since I've posted sketches on here, so have some fun faces from a WIP I just got back to working on
Dragon-ish posting
Dinulifu Kl'dgusen, Busalian. Protagonist of What Fire Can Mend, a Gubat Banwa short fic I wrote in the midst of a buncha calamities and an illness at the tail end of last year. Lines by me, colors by Sword Isles Studios AD Fae
Sir Paul is a scene OG and a true force of nature and Im so stoked we got him to draw for us, looook at that
"Eat God" on Rule Zero.
A little tribute piece for a local bookshop's anniversary, not my usual thing but they were nice enough to support us for the event so I wanted to draw something for them
so much of it makes me 🤨
i know i shouldntve expected much but why is AUH's implementation of ph so ass pfft
October has been fuckin hellish
"Kate its been one week"
Did I fucking stutter
if you want Skyrim 2 then good news: you can mod Skyrim to your heart's content
if you want an action RPG about trauma & redemption & imperialism & prejudice in a vibrant fantasy setting, then Avowed may be right up your alley
it's like this in Skyrim too, btw. the thievery side of things is completely at odds with the core gameplay loop
and that's fine, because encouraging players to spend 80 hours not touching the main quest is classic Bethesda design. but Avowed *wants you to play the story*. that's the game!
a more serious answer is that adding theft & reactions & consequences and items worth stealing is an enormous amount of work for what is an insular behaviour
if you're stealing, you're not engaging in the strengths of the game: exploration, fighting, dialogue. it's an actively dissonant mechanic
reading the Steam reviews for Avowed is a solid reminder of why i do not give a shit about the opinions of internet randos
"the game should have a theft system!!!" your desires are utterly alien & incomprehensible to me
"i don't like guns in my fantasy RPGs" what are you TALKING ABOUT
this is brought to u by me wishing i could play avowed but not being sure if i can even run it hahaha
as someone whos devices tend to be midrange and gets outdated somewhat quickly it would be helpful for gauging if my setup can even run a game comfortably, more hands-on with it instead of just minimum system requirements
i wish that with the way a lot of larger scale video games tend to skew heavy on your pc that more of em would like release a sort of benchmarking tool of some kind, like they do for the ffxiv expansions? im not in the video game industry so i dont know the logistics of pulling it off but-
The kuglung (also spelled kuglong or kuglung) is a traditional two-stringed boat lute used by the indigenous peoples of Mindanao, particularly among the Manobo, Bagobo, and other Lumad groups in the Philippines.
These are the one of the many instruments that resonate the sounds of home
And at last Gubat Banwa Quickstart+ is here, heralded by the face of the game, the iconic Mangangayaw Sam'baha Dimantag herself.
NOW AVAILABLE ON OUR ITCH ❤️🔥

A looot of our local languages and cultures gets swept under the rug or sidelined in favor of the constructed, reductive and homogenized "Filipino culture", so Im very glad there are people out there fighting to celebrate and preserve our rich diversity. Makagana pud para sa among paglimbasog
The host of one of their shows was like, we cant stop our sugbuanon language from evolving, incorporating more tagalog and english words, but we also have to take care not to leave behind what's ours. And that really stuck with me
Its been a welcome surprise to listen to the Radio again these days, there's a new local channel that exclusively plays artists from the Kabisay-an with a lotta songs in Sugbuanon Binisaya and honestly I wish that for every region in the PH.
