Speaker Johnson & Others Remember Christian-Right Leader at Memorial Service Children and former associates of James Dobson honored the β€œpro-family” leader at an Oct. 4 memorial service in Denver that highlighted his roles as a father and man of deep...

Can't help but laugh at all the conservatives fawning over James Dobson, who described marriage as a form of sex work, in which women provide services to their husband in exchange for living expenses and security.

The ideal Chotiner interview subject is an expert who cares deeply about their expertise but feels it isn't understood properly to the general populace and Chotiner acts as an intermediary.

The ideal Chotiner victim, coincidentally, believes that this describes them perfectly.

Fixing the hallucinations isn’t a simple thing. It’s deeply built in to how the current systems work, and will require some fundamental architectural changes that no one knows how to do yet.

I have and will spend for games I do expect to like: Control, Breath of the Wild, Bloodstained, Outer Wilds, and Hades for more recent examples, but even BotW was cheaper than the prices being thrown around.

It’s not all because, but I stand by the thrust of such statements. You do know that all of the tools to create games have plunged in cost during this time?

AAA games are bad games generally. SMB3 was a banger. Why would I spend even $20 for something I don’t expect to like?

AAA games seem to be picking neither quality (except graphics), nor (quick) time, nor (low) cost. They’re bad products that take forever to produce, causing the high prices that I am not willing to risk.

The good games are indeed wonderful, and even at high prices are good values. But that’s rare.

Sure, costs have risen insanelyβ€”but they shouldn’t need to be that insanely expensive. The AAA game industry makes bad games and does so in a bad expensive way.

Well, (a) some laws are bad, actually. Ideally they would be repealed or fixed, but that's often not possible. (b) sometimes even good laws are enforced badly. (c) sometimes focusing enforcement on some laws takes resources away from other laws that are more important to enforce.

Tax Day Is Met With Tea Parties (Published 2009)

Here's a gift link to the New York Times' coverage of the initial Tea Party rallies in April 2009 which inspired the media to treat it like a massive movement.

Check out how tiny the crowds were:

Philly: 200
DC: "several hundred"
Boston: 500
Austin: 1,000
Houston: 2,000

False dichotomy. You don’t have to lose at everything forever to be bad. Sometimes you can be bad in the sense of mediocre-but-not-good-enough. The actual facts on the ground vary a lot state-to-state or even district-to-district.

Producing meat optimized for profit above all else is disgusting and unethical. The scale isn’t directly the problem, but if production optimized for profit happens at large scale, than any large scale production can only survive by cutting similar corners.
