Wii Play Motion, but specifically the Rock Skipping minigame only (2011)

It's honestly not that great of a game but Rock Skipping is REALLY addicting. Anyone can pick it up and love it immediately I can do it for hours. I would pick this game up exclusively for rock skipping.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival (2022)

This came out RIGHT after I bought my taiko drum controller and MAN is it good. Much wider song selection and offers a subscription where you can get even more songs. This is a very VERY good rhythm game. Phenomenal.

Word Play (2025)

I rated this before in its Demo. MAJOR improvements. Feels much nicer, especially with the ability to customize the letters' colors and fonts and change them to lowercase. Feels way more challenging and I keep opening it to play mindlessly while I talk to people. REALLY GOOD!!!

PEAK (2025)

It's really well done. Pleasing to the eye, easy to pick up hard to master. I die every single level and sit there for literally half an hour not playing and I STILL have an amazing time. Hilarious, even better if you play with the in-game voice chat. Very good to play, get it on sale.

Mage Arena (2025)

oh this game is STUPID stupid. It's phenomenal. Perfectly captures how enjoyable a game can be just based off of purely dumb concept. A $3 gem that offers entertainment without trying to wow you over with things like graphics or stories. Just pure fun and chaos.

This is a graphic using visuals to explain the difference between the Taiko controller I have and the drums meant for Rock Band that I want. The Rock Band drums have four separate, evenly sized drums and a kick-pedal at the bottom. The Taiko controller is meant for Taiko, which only has two types of notes, Don, for hitting the face of the drum, and Ka, for hitting the edge of the drum. The side you hit doesn't matter in Taiko, but for Four-Lane drums, it does. The color sequence is Red Yellow Blue Green for the notes, so the controls that are mapped to it are Red for the Left Edge of the drum, Yellow for the Left Face of the drum, Blue for the Right Face of the drum, and Green for the right edge of the drum. It's not a big drum, as it can sit easily on your desk. The small amount of space for each part of the notes makes it so much easier to accidentally miss the drum entirely and miss entire notes because you hit too close to the other side of the drum's face. The Taiko Controller also has no Pedal for kick inputs, so you have to play each time with a "No Kicks" modifier. These complications make it way harder to play with the Taiko controller, and I want to own the Rock Band drums to not have this problem anymore.

I've gotten REALLY attached to YARG and I want to do Full Combos with all the parts using the replay system but I don't own the right drums to do it. I own the Taiko no Tatsujin Tatacon and this guide i made explains *why* I'm struggling hard with the drums sections.

Mahjong Soul (2018)

REALLY fun and REALLY addicting. I wish the gacha system for characters was a bit more newbie friendly because you really have to grind to get characters without paying. If there are better ways to play Riichi Mahjong I'd like to see them because this feels really nice.

YARG (2022)

Play the Nightly build dear god. REALLY nice feel to it and I find myself coming to this one as much as I do Clone Hero. I'm glad I listened to the people who recommended this to me because it's quite good. Looking forward to seeing more development.

I will be truthful and say that I haven't looked into either of those options as I, literally, only learned about Yarg yesterday

I'm sure they are great options but clone hero kind of has me won over already, but I'd take a look at those other options maybe

Clone Hero (2022)

The single best way to play any Hero-like's songs. I need not say anything else other than I bought an adapter just to play this with a real GH Les Paul Wii Guitar.

I love this game, this is a pretty damn good review. Completely solid concerns and very good points. I still enjoy the game and the ideas behind it, but it doesn't really hold up too much as a dating sim type romance game. Thing.

Garry's Mod (2006)

Near 20 year old game still holds up amazingly despite its obvious ancient flaws. Love this dumb game. You just do whatever you want if you can make it. It's awesome. Not much else to say about it.

Rock Band 2 (2008)

NOSTALGIC, also a really different feel compared to Guitar Hero. I simply need to play this entry more to have a more fair opinion on it but I feel as if the Medium charting is too simple. Solos are awesome and make songs feel unique though. Good game

Guitar Hero World Tour (2008)

Wow this is only a year apart? Anyways this one has more features that I like, with a really REALLY good songlist. I prefer GH3's vibe a lot more but this is a very solid entry. I need to get more guitars and the drums for the full experience with friends.

Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock (2007)

This was my first Guitar Hero game that I remember playing and WOW uh

This could be the best Guitar Hero game there is honestly. Incredible, solid songlist and it has THE iconic Tom Morello guitar battle. I'm playing on Wii with the real controller.

As for Just Dance 2026 Edition, we're either seeing an announcement sometime in July as part of a Nintendo Direct, or we're seeing an announcement during August as part of Gamescom this year. That's a little annoying but the BEST just dance game imo (2023) was announced in September that year. So.

Literally one month ago they dropped Material Girl by Madonna as a new Plus song, why wasn't this the one that was built up majorly to?

I LOVE this game and I will always defend the team that works on it but these decisions let down fans more than inspires them.

So... Just Dance teases a summer song weeks ahead of time after that letdown of a countdown reveal and it's a... Ubisoft made song celebrating Women's Sports. Which is good, but why do they keep building up hype for these drops that are, admittedly, lackluster?

Sizzle & Stack (Demo) (2025)

I'm scared.

The gameplay is REALLY fast and I cannot keep up at certain times but that's what makes it incredible. It's such a good successor(?) to Stacklands and I really appreciate it. Italian Cuisine card pack expansion can go eat a fat one

Date Everything! (Demo) (2025)

Uh WOW okay. The controls are ass but it's a visual novel and the strength is the content of the novel. It's really fun to watch and engage with and I would consider purchasing the full game. I enjoy it.

Wordatro! (Demo) (2025)

Cute little Scrabble roguelike that's shamelessly riding the Balatro-like train. It's similar to Word Play, a game I covered earlier in this list. This game is made by fewer people so it's not as polished, but it is still enjoyable.

why do Genji and Reinhardt's skins match the concept art nearly 1 to 1 but Sombra's skin is both entirely different and way worse than the concept???

this is beyond frustrating because I actually looked forward to purchasing a battle pass for once and now that *this* is the final look I'm pissed

Why did they do a three day countdown to reveal that they're adding a song to the subscription service.

I mean I guess I can't hate on it but why would you tease... adding Timber over three days during the time that you typically announce your new title.

GODGAME: Thrillhouse Edition (2023)

Found this on Tabletop Simulator. Wow. If you can handle chaos and games going on for more than one hour this is a game you should try. Ridiculous game with hilarious ideas, concepts and shenanigans. I played one game for 3 hours straight and didn't finish.
