A view of the cricket ground at Wimborne in Dorset. The groundskeeper can be seen making some repairs to an old pitch, some players are visible warming up, and in the background the umpires are standing by the pavilion and scoreboard ready to come onto the field for the toss.

I was putting the big lens away for winter and wondered what my statistics were for 2025, so I checked:

A wide angle view of Sidmouth cricket ground. Heavy rain clouds can be seen approaching from the west, low in the sky and looming over the ground.

Those dark clouds looming over Sidmouth brought a heavy shower of rain just after Oxfordshire were all out for 172. Lunch is being taken and the sun is out again, so hopefully things will dry up and Devon can start their reply.
