#OTD 4️⃣0️⃣ years ago: 2 July 1985, ESA's first deep-space probe #Giotto was launched from Europe's Spaceport. Giotto made encounters with comets #Halley and Grigg–Skjellerup, marking the beginning of Europe's cometary adventures️.
