I think in part it's because the, I dunno how other to phrase this other than the "hype-ification", where every new thing has to be better, bigger, and more, otherwise your audience isn't "entertained". It feels like the bigger content creators are obsessed with this growth.

Watched Blazing Saddles again since I saw it was the 51st anniversary on the 7th. Still a great movie, amazingly well played parody. I have so many quotes from that movie memorized, and still every time it makes me laugh. "Somebody go get a shitload of dimes!" might be one of the best lines ever.

I've been trying to come up with a video breaking down broadcast issues on the most recent Blast CS event, but honestly, they just do it too well. Their event is genuinely one of the cleanest things I've seen in a hot minute, and they execute so well. It's really impressive.

Finally watched Richard Jewell. A great character study from Paul Walter Hauser in particular. It's a pretty good movie all things considered. I'm making an effort this year to catch up on a bunch of movies that caught my eye in recent years, but I
never was able to watch.

I'm sorry, I can't support this kind of take. Lasagna is infinitely better than most types of gluten free pasta.

I hate missing out so much on all the League talk because I've never gotten into the game. Maybe this off season will finally be the time?

Life really sucks right now. My car's basically unusable until I get a pretty major fix for it, so I have to decide to either fix it, or get another car. And I'm still really broke and in debt from my move as it is. At least I have my health and my daughter.

That just means it's time to start some new lore.

Man I'm on my early 2000s crime TV shit. Just started The Mentalist, now watching White Collar for a little bit of extra flavor. Also put on Psych for a background show. There's just something about this era of TV that I just missed completely, and it's pretty good coming back to it.

My daughter is sick with a cold for the first time, which seems pretty crazy. Imagine living your whole life without knowing what a runny nose is, or how congestion feels, until it starts happening. She's so little too, she can't even properly wipe her nose. It makes you feel so bad for her.

I could also just talk about weird Canadian things, like the now 5 channels I have on my TV dedicated to old game shows like Supermarket Sweep, Family Feud, and the Barker era of The Price is Right, which are all very weird channels in and of themselves.

I never know what to post anymore. Do y'all wanna hear about baby stuff, about broadcast stuff, Smite stuff?

One idea I did have was to break down some esports broadcast mistakes, and explain how something can happen on both a technical and a producer level, like those Wired videos.
