Only Manchester United have produced more open play expected goals this season than last. The PL is down 23% this season compared to last season.

The premier league won’t grow up and become a proper global sporting competition as long as PGMOL is in charge of their referees. The Clubs and their supporters deserve better but the league is largely undermined by PGMOL’s incompetence.

Liverpool have done well to contain their wages. I hope Arsenal can keep their top players with out a massive wage spiral.

One of the big things that I think is under-discussed is wages and how that is correlated with team performance. This is an area where Manchester City and Liverpool have had a major gap with Arsenal.
