I'll be at the Read Quebec Book Fair at Casa d'Italia on the weekend. I'll be signing copies of Habs Nation Saturday and Sunday 3 to 4 pm. I am also doing a mini High Fidelity DJ set at the opening cocktail at 5 Saturday. Come and support local books!

They will need the get tougher if they want to win in the playoffs. But since they will not go very far in the playoffs this year (if they make it). There is no rush. But next year, they should buy out Gally and bring a real 4th liner to replace him. #habs

First-off Monty is simply not good enough. You need to be play Dobes two games out of three. Second, the D is just ridic. That is, honestly, on Marty. And then they're not scoring. Very few positives.

He should be. A team plays the strategy of the Head Coach. Apparently, that strategy is to be easy to play against. That was an easy game for the Sens. They need to assemble a punishing 4th line and they need a punishing D pairing. Xhekaj and Struble should be that. Way too soft.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Martin St. Louis so disappointed.

Monty is crap right now but any goaltender needs some help. The team cannot win any battles lately

Is there a system?

Bad defensive system on top of that.

Wendy and Heidi Johnston, a married couple from the Kennebunk area of Maine, were at the Victoire home opener last week at Place Bell. Their smiles capture the mood at Victoire games - pure joy. Look up my story on the Victoire community.

An uninterrupted run of Quebec heritage/culture ministers since 2015... sends a message.
Barry does a good job outlining where the Liberals have fallen short on the file in this column.
Also: How do we get that promised (10+ years now) new CBC mandate designated a "Project of national interest"?

Vintage Monty. Sigh. Yeah not good vintage.

Big news for everyone, but especially someone like me who doesn’t buy a monthly pass and doesn’t have a place near me that sells tickets. (I gotta remember to refill my card when I’m out and running low)

I'm old-school, as you know. And that's how I promote my book Habs Nation. I'm surprised I'm not standing on the street corner hawking copies. (Well it's a little chilly for that!)
So if you want a signed copy, send me a private message and we'll figure it all out.
Perfect Xmas gift for Habs lovers.

They did - especially defensively. But after 3 game in 4 nights on a western road trip and with 4 top line players out, I’ll take that result

I'm not a big watching sports girl for the most part but it's so cool to see how the women's hockey league has grown from playing in municipal arenas to Place Bell.

New Crave hockey drama series Heated Rivalry puts sexy gay spin on the classic Montreal-Boston tension
"This is how these two guys know each other, they know each other by having sex," says director Jacob Tierney.
Writer-director Jacob Tierney on his new Crave series Heated Rivalry: “As gay people, we don’t get to see stuff like this. We don’t get sexy fun happy endings. We don’t get to see our characters sail off into the sunset in love." montrealgazette.com/entertainmen...

Friday on My Mind: Film comedy Les Furies is like Les Boys but for roller derby
Plus: See Un-nevering, Myd, The Beths, and Alex Bird and the Jazz Mavericks this weekend in Montreal.
Les Furies is super funny and very refreshing. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it’s never less than entertaining and all of the actresses bring real punch to the proceedings. And like any self-respecting sports comedy, it’s a feel-good movie. montrealgazette.com/entertainmen...

Four out of six points on the trip is great. But it was a terrible game, particularly defensively.

Yes it does, eloquently. They did spend a good chunk of the game on their arses on the ice.
