But in other news I’ve played like 6 hours of the Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter remake and man that thing rips. This could finally be the game that gets me hooked on Falcom JRPGs.

Started playing Cronos: The New Dawn the other day. It's fine so far, but more than anything it just makes me wish Silent Hill f was out so I could get my spooky fix from that instead.

One of the greatest games ever made

My purchases from the Sega store, including a plush an acrylic standee of Majima from Yakuza, an exclusive Sonic plush, three pins of Sonic, Knuckles, and Shadow, a couple of Japanese-themed Sonic coasters, and the aforementioned metal Dreamcast scale model.

Back in Tokyo for work so of course I had to go see the new Shibuya Parco Sega store! Got some Sonic and Yakuza merch there, including a miniature metallic Dreamcast and a super silly Yakuza acrylic standee that comes with a Red Bull for some reason.

Tonight's double feature: dudes having bad times in cars

I think right now my game of the year front runners are Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Mafia: The Old Country (I haven't played Death Stranding 2 yet).

Started playing Mafia: The Old Country and so far I'm really enjoying it! You can tell they approached things with a tight budget, and it results in a sort of AA, linear narrative experience that I haven't really seen much since the PS3/360 generation. It's some real comfort gaming shit that I dig.

Had a great time at my first GenCon with @jamjamlee.bsky.social this week! I think our highlights of the show were the game of Bluebeard’s Bride that we played, as well as our preview game of the upcoming Cyberpunk Legends card game! The Faster Purple Worm show was a blast as well. 😊
