3 stars is a tall order when a ton of your other best cards also cost a ton of stars. In my experience, it reads like a "act 1 necessary wave clear" kinda card but plays like a "oops you can't play this" kinda card, up until you have a million stars, but by then you're doing much stronger stuff

In a game like Scythe, I'm a fan of it. Not game breaking, can impact what you're doing, can surprise people with some extra points. I don't think board games need to have perfect information the whole time to be enjoyable. Then for other games like Nemesis, less "competitive", it's part of the fun.

bonus: My buddy won yesterday's ornithopters and altered this guy, so when I saw both of these cards, I had to draft each of them together once more. I did not live up to the same glory they had attained yesterday. Bonus Peter Griffin thopter I couldn't stop giggling whenever I saw it.
No introduction needed- got to play @andy.luckypaper.co's 100 Ornithopters! 1-2 "hit them with stuff" pile. Never quite drew the cards in the right order, got absolutely mulched by a hard control deck. The cube was as much fun as it seems! Got to mark Dark Mode before it runs out of real estate, too
Next, @johnclara.bsky.socials CYOA cube. Slammed my way to finals with Izzet interaction, emry package, trading post... then got double slammed by the nastiest Throne of the Grim Captain deck. I can't lie- It was so sick. The very loose synergies made a super interesting draft environment - so cool.
First, and probably my favorite draft of the weekend, Kolósaio, a mostly-Mardu semi-desert Gladiatorial combat cube from the lovely man himself @scottmirts.upkeepnewyork.com. Hard committed blue p1p1 with Keranos, drafted 3 gods and both copies of Deicide to play Jeskai bangers. LOVED it!!
