The villain's also wasted, as he's obviously a bad guy with undefined powers and an evil circus of fear but he doesn't do much. He turns two kids into monkeys, yeah, but that only seems to last for a few minutes.

"Castle of Cagliostro" was a lot better. No real complaints about that one.

I'm not going to go over everything here, but the worst part was the unnecessary framing device. There's also a scene at the climax where one of the characters keeps saying "Don't let bad happen" and variations on the line. Just a clunky line in what's supposed to be a tense scene.

Over the weekend @ladyjess.bsky.social and I watched "We're Back: A Dinosaur's Story" and "Lupin the 3rd: Castle of Cagliostro" and here's some thoughts. We liked the latter more than the former. "We're Back" made some odd choices that did not benefit it, though the animation was quite good.

Never King Kong, though, despite the fact that he shows up in the theme song. Or any giant apes that I can recall. If I'm wrong please let me know, it's bothered me for years.

I still do 5, 11, 17, and 18. A lot of places still use faxes.

Another shelf put up, three or four more boxes of DVDs taken care of. I have three and a half boxes left.

I got this statue over a decade ago and never had a good place to put it. I do now! Though I don't think the movie shelf has any of my Godzilla collection on it.

Also, to clarify, we were at a laser tag thing and he had been trying to start trouble with me all night and it just got to a point where a retaliatory sandwich seemed right.

Anyway, I guess the moral is that if you throw a sandwich at an asshole they're going to overreact and whine about it.

One time I threw a sandwich at someone. Half a wrapped Beef and Cheddar from Arby's. Later they tried to attack me with a tire iron. Later he claimed I got ketchup on him, when parents got involved (we were fifteenish) which is a ludicrous claim. I don't even get the red sauce and it was wrapped.

I've been watching the Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli movies with @ladyjess.bsky.social and we watched this one last night

There's been a giant frozen mass in @ladyjess.bsky.social's freezer since before we started dating and today I went at it with a mallet and a screwdriver and chiseled all that away. We found some weird turkey thing and part of a box. And Wiley kept eating the ice.

I should mention that at no point did I intend to listen to Ghostbusters. I got in the car and, almost immediately, it's what started playing on the local station.

I can confirm that my commute is almost exactly the same as the runtime for the theme song to "Ghostbusters"

Since I started my new job and am getting better paychecks I've started buying shelves for my DVDs. One down, a few more to go.

Those boxes are also full of DVDs, as well as three more, elsewhere.

It could also be eye strain. It's probably eye strain.

They're also redoing the floors so I have been taken out of my isolated office and am, for a few days, in a copier room with my actual boss. Which isn't so bad. Next week I get moved in with the general staff.

So for my first two weeks at the new job, I've gotten bad headaches on Thursday and they have persisted through Friday. Is it allergies? Or my head rebelling?
