I’m not posting a picture of a chicken - this is a male Red Junglefowl. This is the origin of most domestic chickens. Common on Singapore and relatively easy to see. Elusive in Malaysia and Thailand. Really stunning looking birds. #birds #birdwatching #birdsseenin2026 #naturephotography

Could be John. There have been a few reported over the past week at another site. I had birds at all my breeding spots. Sounds like they do a short crossing then spread outπŸ‘πŸ½

I visited one of the local steppes near to Pinoso and was pleased to see some early Lesser Kestrels back already (7). What stunning little raptors. They were busy wizzing around displaying and showing off to the females. #birds #birding #birdsseenin2026 #naturephotography

This stunning looking bird is a Collared Kingfisher taken in the Botanical gardens in Singapore. It is always amazing how good the parks and gardens are for wildlife in Asia. #birds #birding #birdsseenin2026 #naturephotography #birdphotography

Popped to my local spring near Pinoso on a rather dull & cold morning & was pleased to see my friendly Bluethroat was still present. He will be headed north soon. Glad I caught up with him before he left. #birds #birdwatching #birdphotography #BirdsSeenIn2026 #NaturePhotography

A trip out into the desert in Qatar produced 3 species of Wheatear including this very smart female Desert Wheatear. Greater Hoopoe Lark still eludes me. Next time! #birds #birdphotography #birdsseenin2026 #canonphotography #wildlife

I have only seen one Masked Shrike before in Turkey. Seeing 10 plus in the park in Doha (Qatar) was amazing. Such smart looking shrikes. #birds #birdphotography #birdsseenin2026 #canonphotography

My wife & I have just returned from an amazing trip to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand & Hong Kong. A total of 512 birds species seen & my wife does not birdwatch! Almost all self found. This is a Masked Shrike from a stop over in Qatar. #birds #birdphotography #birdsseenin2026
