they literally did an update that lets prey make choices as there on the path so its more viable now!

The tricky part is now they need to make or recreate a body for the prey’s soul to inhabit. Not to mention find out what part of their body that prey ended up on.

Not to mention pulling the right prey off the pred to use.

Its not the end for the prey (most of the time) as there soul/essence will move on. It just takes a bit more time.

This intern gives the pred a longer window of opportunity to resurrect the prey as the parts thats “them” is still around.

Prey slowly loose there sense of self as all they’re aware of are the sensations of the preds body. The feel of clothing, the warm sun, a cool breeze, the pred or another’s touch… its all they can know.

In the end the prey eventually fades into the preds body.

So been kinda leaning towards the concept of sentient fat or at least a version of it. Most prey have an awareness after digestion that there part of the pred but they need willpower to keep their consciousness from fading into the preds body.
