10K subs for an indie is still insane(ly impressive)! I had a zine friend back in the early 2000s who invited us out celebrate when her mailing list hit 100. (she went on to prosper in the blog age). Most authors would be love 10k patreons today. So cool your mom hit that # back in the day.
