Thanks. I tried to mitigate the overheating problem, but ended up causing another problem. I might need to take a break from my bluebird landlord business. I have not been able to provide the quality service I want to give my valued "customers."

Sadness. The one bluebird nestling that hatched from the four eggs is now gone. Definitely way too young to have fledged. Has to have been a predator. I took the nestbox down to prevent future repeat tragedies. It's my fault for mounting a box on the deck post instead of a pole with a baffle. 😭

This was intended to be a quilt back, pieced together from scraps and miscellaneous fabric, but it ended up the wrong shape and size, so now it will be its own quilt top, and I bought extra-wide backing fabric for both quilts. I got it sandwiched on my dining table this afternoon.

Thomas Point lighthouse, a short, octagonal wooden lighthouse built up on a platform over some rocks in the Chesapeake Bay. There are some small power boats anchored by the rocks, and the occupants were swimming and fishing.

A huge cargo ship in the Chesapeake Bay. It was anchored outside the Bay Bridge, presumably waiting for its berth in the Port of Baltimore to become available. The ship has a long, red hull with "Saga Welcome" painted on the side. There is a white tower structure at the aft of the ship, and a black cargo loading/unloading structure (I think that's what it is) in front of that.

I got to go #sailing on the Chesapeake Bay yesterday! It was a beautiful day and so much fun!

Looks like one of the four #bluebird eggs in this third clutch has hatched. Fingers crossed for this baby's good health and that they might have siblings that hatch.

Yes! It was just a coolant hose! It's repaired, but I'm still waiting for them to fix the dashboard light so I can see the speed I'm going after dark.

Eddie, an orange and white cat, is sleeping soundly in a cardboard box filled with brightly colored fabric scraps. The scraps are spilling out onto the table on which the box is resting.

Life is pretty good when you're the beloved #cat of a quilter.

Be forewarned: when it's happy, it really shows it by growing up and out. If it likes where you put it, you will have lots and lots of it! So give it space.
