A still from a video of a tiny white horse the size of a large dog. Its forelock is braided. It's wearing a little blue vest/cape. It has tiny black booties on it's itty bitty hooves.

I just want to make sure everyone knows Mayo Clinic has a therapy miniature horse named Blue Sky

Three pink drawstring fabric bags against a gridded cutting mat. Two are a pink plaid made up of images of contraceptive methods. The smallest is a houndstooth print made of tesselating uteruses. All three have solid pink tops. A pink drawstring fabric bag against a gridded cutting mat. The main body is a pink plaid made up of images of contraceptive methods. The top is solid pink. When I talked with Yelley about which prints to send to Coven of Stitches for the Bay Area Yarn Crawl, they told me the contraceptive print had caught their eye.

So l've restocked it!

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS
WHEN INTERACTING WITH IMMIGRATION OFFICERS (ICE)
• If you believe you are witnessing ICE activity, please call ICIRR's 24-Hour Family Support Hotline at 1-855-HELP-MY-FAMILY (1-855-435-7693).
• If you find yourself interacting with an ICE officer in any location including your workplace, or out in the community, remember:
• You have the right to remain silent when questioned or arrested by immigration officers
• You should remain calm and keep your hands where the officer can see them.
• You can state that you wish to speak with an attorney.
• You are not required to
• Discuss your immigration or citizenship status with the police, immigration agents, or other officials
• Sign anything you do not understand.
• If an officer knocks on your door at home:
• You have the right to not open the door.
• ICE officers must have a warrant signed by a judge to enter your home. ICE
"warrants" are not signed by judges; they are ICE forms signed by ICE officers and they do not grant authority to enter your home without your consent
• If you are outdoors and think you see immigration officers nearby:
• You can move to a safe indoor space
• If you are a U.S. citizen and feel safe to do so, you can record the activity with your phone or write down any relevant information about what you witness— ALWAYS being careful to not interfere or otherwise obstruct the operation
• DO NOT:
• Post unverified information on social media
• Interfere with the investigation or otherwise put yourself in harm's way

NEED SUPPORT? CALL ICIRR'S FAMILY SUPPORT NETWORK HOTLINE: 1-855-435-7693

always gets me when I see people talk about going right because of the "humorlessness" of the left, or whatever. the funniest people I have ever known are weird leftists, you just think "humor" means "saying slurs"

An old Singer sewing machine. Unlike many sewing machines of this era (no, I don't know how old it is, I just know it's older than me!), this one is painted mostly in bright orange with round wheel at the end being painted bright purple, although it looks more blue in the picture. There is a sticker above in orange, purple, and white that says "TIGERS" with a little tiger paw. There is a sticker on the table of the sewing machine that is orange and white of a larger tiger paw. Clemson colors for a Clemson graduate.

I just know you wanted to see this. 😂 Took me a bit to find a picture and then I needed to edit the background.

The image is a black and white photograph depicting four women engaged in an activity involving fabric outside, near the porch of what appears to be a rural house. The group seems focused on handling or rolling up a large piece of cloth that could possibly be part of a quilt they are working on together.

Based on the additional information provided about this specific image:
- It is likely connected with farm women and members of an organization known as "Helping Hand."
- They might belong to a club, potentially one focused on community service or mutual aid.
- The activity captured could be related to making quilts for various purposes, such as donations or support within their rural communities.
- This photograph falls under the general caption number 58-11.

The location mentioned is near West Carlton in Yamhill County, Oregon.

Without more context or information about Dorothea Lange and her work on this specific image, it's challenging to provide further details about its significance within a broader historical framework. However, given that Dorothea Lange was known for documenting the lives of ordinary Americans during various periods (including the Great Depression), this photograph might reflect rural life or community activities in Oregon at some point between 1935 and possibly later years.

In summary:

Today’s quilted heart was made for Johnny Appleseed Day. Today celebrates the famous apple tree planter, whose real name was John Chapman. This winter I discovered 2 new (to me) varieties. Ambrosia and Envy. Excellent eating apples!
Thank you Johnny Appleseed!

I think it depends on how much of a challenge you want it to be. If you want people to decipher it (I don't know Morse code so I look it up each time), then go for the applique or something to differentiate the dots and dashes.

The beginnings of a foundation paper piece block. A bunch of bits of paper with bits of fabric sewn on them. Lots of cream bits of fabric with some pinks and purples and browns and greens. The papers with green fabric are more covered with fabric than the papers with pink or purple or brown fabric. All strewn on a dark blue and white tablecloth.

WIPWednesday #Quiltsky! I'm jumping ahead to May's block for my parents' assisted living door. Hopefully I can get ahead on these blocks and not feel pressured to get the next one done. This FPP block will eventually look like a basket of tulips.

Do I Have the Right to Film ICE? Despite government attacks against protesters and the press, documenting interactions with law enforcement and federal agents is protected by the First Amendment. Here’s what you need to know.

Yes.

ICE agents don't get to carve out a First Amendment exception for themselves.

Re supposed end of the Target boycott: it’s 100% bullshit. See statement below from an *actual* leader of the initial DEI boycott.

Even if true (to repeat, it’s not!), it’s not up to any small group. Target has fixed nothing + compounded its DEI sins with ICE complicity. People are done with it!
