Its wings are patterned in soft shades of grey, charcoal, and off-white, forming irregular, cloud-like markings. The body is pale grey with darker accents along the head and thorax, and thin antennae extend outward in gentle curves. The moth stands on a small, rounded, dark red and brown flower head that looks slightly textured and dried, like a thistle or seed pod. The long stem beneath it rises straight up from the bottom edge of the painting, anchoring the composition. The background is abstract and softly blended, with vertical streaks of colour that flow from top to bottom. Warm yellows and oranges dominate the upper half, gradually blending into vivid greens toward the lower half. The brushstrokes are smooth and slightly blurred, giving a glowing, atmospheric feel, as if the moth is silhouetted against a luminous sunset fading. The overall mood is calm and contemplative, with the moth appearing delicate yet striking against the vibrant, softly shifting background.
