Cover reveal: SARDINES A new collaborative pamphlet from me and @minorroarr.bsky.social 🐟
From @dialectwriters.bsky.social Some creative partnerships begin with a plan; others with a spark. Sardines began with something stranger & more serendipitous: a misremembered remembered Frank O'Hara poem.
'My jelly legs are off the couch
by grace of Prozac. Four months indoors
and the neighbourhood is treason.'

"And just as we know the dancing woman is dying
in the next scene, the villain doing a good deed
is dying in the next scene, and the playing kitten
is only practising to kill, we both know

People who change your life:
Ted Schmidt taught highschool to my punk rock bandmates. When our band went on the road Ted gave us books on social justice and how to turn faith into action.
He has been part of my life ever since.
He is in his 80s and holds a weekly vigil on Kingston road for peace.
Apologies if the initial post was unclear; this competition is open to ALL persons who identify as female or non binary.
There is an ADDITIONAL category for emerging poets over 40 who have yet to publish a pamphlet or collection.

afternoons and I pray nothing catches,

that is so bizarre- but very funny. Why is Dan easier than Ben? And Morgan doesn't sound difficult at all.
