In Scotland, fishing trawlers scrape the seabed despite protection promises Scotland has designated 37% of its waters as marine protected areas, but destructive fishing methods like bottom trawling continue in most of these zones.

🚨 Bottom trawling is still allowed in ~95% of Scotland’s waters, including marine PROTECTED areas

This highly destructive fishing is continuing to destroy habitats and threaten livelihoods. Real protection means banning it from all ocean havens, NOW!
