This is such a good post! It's the bitter truth that many developers refuse to swallow, in my experience.

I get it, writing new things is fun but it's just not what the job usually entails. We must learn to balance economic reality in our expectations or we'll be miserable.

This is so absolutely true. I'm at a senior 1 level and my husband is a high level staff engineer. I'll be stuck on a problem for an hour and he'll come and look at it and have the answer within seconds.

You can't fast forward or AI your way into years of debugging context and experience!

This is a really unique and productive way to tackle this! I like the different perspective and feel like it would open people's minds up more. Very cool.

It's only been a couple weeks and I already love, love, love my PKM with @obsidian.md. I would highly recommend it to anyone but especially newer developers who are having to ingest a lot of information quickly.
