Honestly heavily agree with this, low series powers mean nothing (I got 2100 series power on calc with pro, and I don't even have 2 stars on it and 2200 series power on .52gal which I 4 starred but played casually). Unless it's like 2300 minimum it means something but below it means nothing.

its so nice/important when a top player not only explains what they are doing but why they are doing it and why it works even when they fuck up and die

makes it so much easier to internalize and put aspects of it into my own gameplay when i actually know why something works

Investigated for 30 minutes on stream, and found out this guy is PROBABLY (will never be 100% sure unless Nintendo takes action) DDosing. Many people came forward and sent me Splatnet screenshots of someone dcing in his lobby.

Also do bamboo drills, they help with quick snaps while squiffer can help with big flicks. I'm not the guy to help with this but practice different patterns of aiming in the target room especially the high point and watch this guide it's very good. youtu.be/TJSIAxUiNf4

knowledge is power, and very fun and interesting, but you have to implement it into your skill if you want to win more games and improve. A lot of new players have asked me to coach their team on comms and team play, but the main thing holding them up is mechanical skill, not teamwork.

this is all generalization, but there's an overestimation of "book-knowledge" and its power to help a team. I, like many others, got into comp bc the "teamwork" aspect was so appealing.

but, a lot of players at this level neglect building their own mechanical skill and blame other things

A lot of great comp players also just aren't used to doing retakes on their own or don't know how to retake or even push in soloq because they are used to communicating it with their team, and they just can't play on their own. So, it could be a playstyle issue, and they can't play solo effectively.

From my experience, it's because people see how top-level players get actual throwers and then think that if they can't carry those people and win, then I shouldn't have to be able to and it's always my teammate's fault because I don't have the skill level to carry and I'm doing everything right.

Low-level players, what’s your main problems with low-level?

Yeah I’ve seen div 8 teams only require s rank it’s insane and the difference between div 8-10 is like nonexistent.

Yeah when one of them tries to say something and it’s wrong (say an inexperienced captain) you can’t say anything because technically you are at their level so you can’t really point their mistakes out without realizing you were own flaws. This mostly happens in pickups too.

And of course the people ones that I could get into have a different weapon pool because I only play vroller really. It’s insanely annoying how I have to get lucky with a pickup or find a good team by a miracle in order to try to push out of low level.
