I had that issue with THE BLUFF... amazing action but no idea of the real jeopardy beyond goodie vs baddie... I think I was engrossed in SINNERS in a way that made me wonder about resolving the outstanding mysteries versus the immediate action scene by scene in the end of act 2 and start of act 3 :)

Today... Anxious Freda returned to the journey home. She felt there was an air of inevitability to it. The croupier, and Arab prince, pulled up at her bus stop to taunt her. The cashier jogged by & asked if she was scared. Seconds later... the 45 mounted the kerb & ran her over.

Today... Freda was tripped in the casino. Jumping to her feet, she inexplicably landed in a car, idling in traffic with no driver. An angry man asked why she wasn't moving. She recognised him. It was Terry, 60s. He gave her booze when she was 12. She stabbed him and drove off.

For maximum impact, post a paper letter to your MP. Printed & signed in pen is fine. 1 page, 3 short, polite, not copy-paste, points in an envelope to be opened by hand. 90 seconds a letter? 100 letters = 2.5 hours staff time not spent on usual tasks. 1000 letters? Heaped mailbags soon get noticed.
