Guided by faith and care for our common home, across Maryland we raised our voices to hold the biggest polluters accountable. Our leaders testified and advocated in Annapolis to pass HB 128, a critical study of the harm climate polluters cause to all of us.

Even as we’re stuck for now inside systems that still burn fuel and damage our common home, Interfaith Power & Light’s team is on the ground in our communities, affirming that everyone deserves to breathe clean air.

Coming together to build community, taking action on climate, and joyfully creating resilience is the work we are called to do, especially in times such as these, and we are called to do it together.

We are so grateful to all of you in faith communities across our region who have embraced Earth Month as an opportunity to keep singing, praying, planting, and hoping.

Thanks to the hard work and generous spirit of our green leaders, green teams, clergy, friends, and supporters, IPL-DMV was able to host, participate in, or attend over thirty (!) Earth Month events, gatherings, and services in diverse communities all throughout the DMV.

On Earth Day, our Director Joelle closed a multi-faith gathering on Capitol Hill with this song by Sarina Partridge:
