Rope Burn SF

Q: Is this a sex thing? I don't really like sex parties.
A: Rope Burn is an adult only event, and adult activity does occur during open play - engaging in any of that is completely optional. We will ask attendees to leave if they are engaging with folks or taking any photos without consent first.

Q: I don't think I'm ready to be suspended, will I still be able to enjoy myself?
A: Most attendees do not do suspension. Usually only a handful of people attending have the experience to do suspensions and the vast majority of tying that takes place in the open play section is on the ground.

Q: I've never tied before, am I going to be completely lost?
A: We offer a 30 minute beginner workshop where you can practice the basics that will be used in the skillshare. You can do this solo or with a partner, and we encourage any first timer or anyone who needs to brush up to utilize it.

Q: What is the dress code?
A: We encourage you to wear as much or as little clothing as you feel comfortable in! The only hard and fast clothing rule is that you don't wear shoes on the mats.

Q: Do I need to bring a partner?
A: No! Though we certainly encourage coming with a person to pair up with for the learning portion, we always make sure to take some time at the start to help folks pair up and find someone else. So we encourage you to come solo and make a new friend!

Q: Is there anywhere to put my stuff?
A: Yes, we have lockers available for folks to use. However they are on first come first serve basis, and you will need to bring your own lock if you'd like to secure them. It's perfectly fine to put your things in a bag or backpack and keep them nearby you.

Q: I don't have rope, do you all provide any?
A: We do have some loaner rope available for folks to use, but its on a first come first serve basis.

Our usual rope skillshare will start at 7:30 and feature a tie that expands on those basic building blocks. For those that don't want to take part in the workshop the space will still be open to practice, socialize, and meet new people. See you all there!
