Kitty-boo celebrated yesterday's international 🐈 day by visiting the vet (who concluded that her vomiting was caused by undigestible scratchy pieces of grasshopper 🙄). She didn't appreciate the bus journey and used the first opportunity to hide somewhere safe after we came home 😅

We loved the stories of Alisa, written by the Russian author Kir Bulychev. My country was still communist when I was a child, so Russian literature was preferred. These stories were great for kids, though 😊 Alisa was travelling in space and even in time. I wonder if I'd still like the stories now.

What’s your favorite summer memory?

I’ll start: walking to get ice cream with my cousins after swimming and (attempting) to catch frogs all day.

( we would release the frogs in a safer spot at the creek. )

Being an only child, I loved summers as I could spend time with my cousins. We did a lot of things together, but my favourite memory is when the oldest read sci-fi for children to us. We could all read at that point, so she didn't have to, but it was a lovely bonding experience.
