Anywho, fast forward to today and I can’t face getting out of bed - I woke up in the middle of the night shivering and shaking and aching all over. With a throat made of phlegm, playdo, and sandpaper that both grates and burns at the same time and lungs that audibly wheeze.
The Bubonic/Pneumonic plague in one go. Anyway, come last weekend I started to feel unusually tired and achey but again put it down to having a physically busy week. So Monday morning, off I go to work feeling tired and achey but trying to shrug it off.
My girlfriend is an A&E Matron, and she mentioned last week that she was feeling unusually tired and achey. I said it must be all the redecorating - I should have paid more attention. For when my girlfriend feels ill, it means she has just shrugged off Ebola &
I haven’t posted any update for a couple of weeks and this is the telling of the saga I have endured. Last week I took a week off to help my girlfriend do DIY and redecorating at her house. So no hobby time.
In between DIY and redecorating, there was time for a nice long walk on Mersea Island.
Redecorating for a week - what a waste! Imagine how many minis I could get painted during a weeks annual leave!? And motorcycle rides! 🤣
I’ve got this on my to watch list this weekend. Looking forward to it.

So it’s official I now have 2 big projects. The first is slaughter in the snow Ashdown 871 using 28mm figures. The second new project is slaughter in the snow Eylau using 6mm figures with 16 man companies, 9 companies per battalion. 1 base = 1 company.
Does anyone else suspect that Alfred offed his brother King Aethelred somehow in order to become King Alfred?
