I'm a Democrat, a mathematician, and a Catholic who tries as best as I can to follow the teachings of Jesus, foremost among them "love your neighbor." I adore Joe Biden.

It's almost as if Hegseth watched "A Few Good Men" (Rest in peace, Rob Reiner) and got the exact *wrong* message from it. He must have been on Team Jessup. It makes sense because Trump and his cabinet "can't handle the truth."

He should resign, yes. I'm not giving Alex credit, however, until he says that *Trump* should also resign. Somehow, Trump is continuously graded on a curve, and I'm sick of it.

We could have had the old guy from Scranton with a stutter and the prosecutor -- or the prosecutor and the coach, if you'd prefer. But, instead, we got an administration full of people who palled around with Jeffrey Epstein and covered up said a associations.

Great job, median American voter.

They have tried everything they can think of to distract us and prevent the truth from coming out โ€” posting racist memes and even shutting down the House. But we will not stop until all involved are held accountable and the survivors get justice.

Well, that's an instant block from me. There is nothing even remotely funny about that post. In fact, I find it utterly repulsive that anyone would find him funny.

I'm really, really hoping that I'll soon be able to call her Senator-elect Crockett. This woman is a rockstar.

It's a very good question, and I can speculate as to the answer. Either way, the next Democratic president (if we have one... ) needs to not only investigate and prosecute everyone listed in the files: they need to do the same for anyone and everyone who covered this up.

Absolutely! In fact, nothing would make me happier adopting gun laws like those in Japan or the UK. I accept that will never happen in the US, but there is nevertheless a lot that can still be done.

Agreed. They're certainly capable of doing it: it's just too rare. One example of this was, back when RFK Jr. was a candidate, Kasie Hunt had a clip ready when he lied about his past statement to the effect of (paraphrasing) "there is no vaccine that is safe and effective." More of that please.

I don't know whether to give him credit for saying this out loud or outraged that he did but is still a registered Republican. He has enough name recognition that he could switch to "unaffiliated" and keep his congressional seat. I wouldn't want to be part of a party that's covering for pedos.

With the profanity, or the way Dana asked it? I know I'm nitpicking here. I have a strict policy of refusing to watch CNN, so I didn't watch this entire segment. It seems Dana actually did a decent job here. I'll give credit where it's due, even if the bar is set incredibly low.

I remember that people who read the transcript thought Joe won. Having watched twice, I agree. He spoke softly and with a raspy voice, but he clearly knew what he was talking about. He misspoke -- because he's Joe -- but even the "Medicare" line was about letting Medicare negotiate drug prices.

But we know the answer to that first question. Why even frame it like that?

Better: "Your HHS secretary is an anti-vaxer conspiracy loon who has undermined support for vaccines. How do you justify that when we're seeing fucking Measles outbreaks?"

Maybe without the profanity since it's cable.

Illinois Woman With Wacky Anti-Gay Views Wins Congressional Primary The Illinois Republican Party withdrew its endorsement of Susanne Atanusโ€™ candidacy and asked her to drop out of her congressional race in January, after she told the Chicago Daily Herald, โ€œGod is ang...

She still might be. Remember when she couldn't name a single publication she read? Trump doesn't read them either, but I guess he has to know their names in order to call them "failing."

For the "dumbest politician" award, I nominate Susanne Atanus:

It sounds insane to us because we can see the lasting damage of Trump traefectas: SCOTUS, for one, is gone for at least a generation. The "I didn't get everything, so no one gets anything" people are accelerationists: this is the Surandon-esque "Trump will bring on the revolution" people.

At what point is having to say on repeat, "I'm the least racist" become Trump's form of Nixon's "I'm not a crook"?

At some point, we have to invoke the "he who doth protest too much" card. That's only if, of course, we decide to ignore our eyes and ears, which I don't recommend.

It's depressing to me that so many Dems who I once liked have shown their entire asses this past year by opportunistically slandering Joe Biden.

You don't have to be a Biden stan, as I am, to acknowledge (a) he was a damn good potus; and (b) the insinuation that Trump is more capable is malarkey.

I didn't see Collins's response. Was she "mildly concerned" about his racist post? Where exactly would it rank on the Collins Concern-o-Meter?

I wish I could say I was surprised by any of this, but I'm not. If anything, I'm surprised that anyone else is surprised.

The grass is green and Donald Trump is a racist; yet 77 million people either loved it or it at least wasn't a dealbreaker for them. It's sickening.

07.02.2026 19:59 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yeah, I'm personally more shocked that anyone else is shocked, lol.

And, if that came as a surprise to someone, I wonder what they'll think once they learn what he thinks about women, LGBTQ+ people, non-white immigrants, etc.

Here is a quick rundown of some of my views:

1. No human is "illegal."
2. LGBTQ+ and women's rights are non-negotiable.
3. Black lives matter.
4. Workers deserve a living wage.
5. Healthcare is a human right.
6. "Woke" means "don't be an asshole."
7. I love Joe Biden. He deserved better.

John Fugelsang on Christianity
YouTube video by John Fugelsang John Fugelsang on Christianity

To answer Trump's question, here is an incredibly insightful clip from John Fugelsang on what Jesus, on whom Christianity is based, actually said and believed. I'm not saying Jesus would be a card-carrying Dem, but this should address Trump's doubts.

Maybe I hallucinated this, but wasn't it at 8% at one point?! This reeks of botted reviews.

Maybe part of the condition for the cash payment people were given to "watch" the movie was that they leave a positive review.

Yes, I forgot about this. Doesn't his district also include Silicon Valley? If it were a choice between AOC and Ro in 2028 as the "progressive" option, I would take AOC every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Who was your favorite unnamed, anon source? Mine was whoever claimed that Joe didn't remember Jaime Harrison. Jaime says it never happened and I believe him. Tapper never interviewed Jaime, nor Harris, nor Jean-Pierre.

None of these anon sources are doctors. Keep Joe's name out of your mouth.

I appreciate what he's doing with respect to the Epstein files, but it bothers me that he opportunistically threw President Biden under the bus. He may well be the only person on this planet to ever utter the words, "David Axelrod and Chuck Todd were right." (Spoiler: they were not.)

05.02.2026 22:54 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yes, I think that's right. I remember seeing MAGAT's on the other website posting a doctored "client list" that contained... a whole lot of Democrats, including Joe. It was obviously total BS, in particular because it excluded Trump.

I don't know who socio-sapiens is, but I assume they're making this comment ironically -- as in, "of course Joe isn't in the files." Maybe I'm misreading. Either way, Epstein hung up with wealthy, powerful men. Scranton Joe, aside from not being a predator, was the poorest guy in the Senate.

I remember when she testified for at least 9 hours after the attack in Benghazi that Republicans tried their hardest to politicize. Not once did they manage to break her.

We missed out on a Hillary Clinton presidency. #ButHerEmails
