Never forget this day, February 28, 2025, when an American president abused and betrayed a democratic ally in the midst of a barbaric war with Russia. This grotesque stain will never wash away.

Updates on that new painting I started.

Started another new painting. I hope to keep something on the easel at all times.

There aren’t enough social media posts about poopin.

Done. Varnished and framed. This is going in a local art show in March. Moving on and switching it up. Working digital today. 4th of 5 album covers. More on that later.

Update. I think I’m done. I since signed it and painted the edges. Next on to varnish and frame.

I’m realizing now that I disassociate all day long

I have to think this is why there are signs that say “we have the right to refuse service”

Getting close to done. I think. Adding detail. Still feels like it needs a little something more.

Progress. I like just having something on the easel I can come back to a little each day.

Day 2

I sketched out all of the pieces like the hand lettering and the tiki accoutrements in Procreate on the iPad before assembling and laying out the design in photoshop.

I just finished a new piece. Call it a postcard or a print or placemat. I love making tiki-inspired art. The Painkiller is a particularly good Tiki cocktail.

Started a new painting today. Wish me luck.

Same. I feel like I only get like 2 hours of real focused time each day. The rest of the time I think about drawing or making just can’t motivate.

I made some bird houses over the holiday. One small ornament and one actual working birdhouse for my parents. Similar process though the real thing was much harder. The ornament is mostly carved basswood and pine underneath. The big one was pretty much whatever scrap I had around.

Made a quick little baby robot for my wife. She named him Billy Bot Thornton.

Making little robots for upcoming art show. These are so amazing to make and I almost hate to part with them. They have definitely taken on little personalities.
