The forest Lair was behind a school so Orrin knew he had to act fast after tracking the footprints to the area- working theory , DOGMAN is a werewolve type so basically when he enters his forest he can transform into a BEAST that’s why he knew to back off when Orrin fired warning shots at him.

Orrin did some digging after getting lat and long coordinates found a man in the town that ended up helping him and giving him a Rifle to hunt DOGMAN- guy was terrified to go in the forest but didn’t stop Orrin from going in there and capturing some photos of the Beast
