The best part about being an OT: I can openly discuss taboo subjects (politics, religion, sexuality) and it’s beneficial for clients.

Occupational Therapy is the best healthcare profession, period. I fully intend to make sure the world knows it.

Total US population: ~345,000,000

Total US workforce: ~170,000,000

Total # of OTs in the US: ~133,000

Total # of OTs that are Black men: ~1,200.

1,200 out of 170,000,000…..

Pretty sure there isn’t 1,200 Black men in the US. Our OT population needs to match the demographics of our clients.

Anybody else tired of working paycheck to paycheck yet? I feel like the collective burnout of the millennial generation is just beginning.
