WEll that was a thing wasn't it!! Walked 120 odd miles, worked about 40 hrs. Drank less generally, on my birthday I only had 1 pint . Had more sleep than usual (still not enough), spent less money and saw fewer bands than normal, had a blast - last one as a supervisor - end of a lovely 19 year run

All prepped now as have organised some steward training on administering Nalaxone for opiod overdose taking place on Saturday and then some more training for stewards on Sunday night on dealing with people who have overmedicated themselves - sadly a common occurance these days

Been quiet for a bit. My team of 12 (part of the wider team of 300 at the park). Feels like herding cats getting all up to speed. All now done their training and are doing their onsite H&S. Now under 1000 hours till we will all be onsite. Anticipation mounts when will the Park Poster drop?

Many people say they love the farm, their spiritual sanctuary! IWhy is there so much litter? (people say they drop it in the bins. If this is true 1% of people arrive at the site with a ton of rubbish then in the wee hours scatter it like confetti! Some not telling the truth, do better people!

10 Video some of the weird and frankly odd performers that are walking round - otherwise no one will believe you - I mean why would there be three grannies pushing a dolphin in a giant pram whilst singing sea shanties? - then again - of course there should be and the world is better because of it.

10. don't buy pills of strangers - not everyone is nice - they're probably talcum powder or aspirin or very possibly something very nasty indeed anyway.
11. walking boots are better than wellies until the weather dictates that wellies are better than boots.

7 The best campsite? - depends on what you want - what works for me - may not work for you.
8 The best tent? For me, one you can stand up in to put your pants on – I’m too old now to be rolling around like an inverted tortoise when I want to get dressed.
9 Can I really take in my own booz?- Yes

#6 go and say something nice or buy something from people like the Samaritans - you never know when you might need them and it would be a shame if they were not there anymore when you realise you need them.

#5 Is the festival as good as it used to be? What does better actually even mean? it is now safer, more environmentally sensible, better food and toilets, more diverse, Therefore, on these metrics yes - is the music better?- dunno 2019 was a great year for me and my taste. but it's not about just me

#4 in my list of Glasto fuckwittery
Crew Bars -I have heard about crew bars are they real?
Yes there are crew bars at the festival - about a dozen!
are you crew? - No?
Does that answer your next question?

Trollies - everyone with a trolly recommends the trolly they own else they have to admit they made a poor decision - TBH over last 14 festivals I have worked/volunteered I'd say about 30% are knackered by the bottom of Pennard hill. Then binned and the festival has to get rid of it. just don't

festival gates open 8am Wed,car parks open previous day - car parks open later on Tuesday is because there are thousands of volunteers and crew turning and they get directed to specific car parks, filtering you out for a different one is a pain and slows everything down.
