A man crouching in grass on the left side of a yard sign as he attaches it to the backing.

The sign reads: The keys have moved! Find us at Superior Tech, 127 8th Ave NW! The illustration has an arrow pointing from one location on a map to another - the locations are the older shop location on 2nd Ave and the new location on 8th Ave, both in Swift Current SK.

Well, this is us making somewhat official I guess. We swapped the sign out at the locksmith we bought out in the summer, sneaking it in before the snow falls.

Also, we have a lot of keys. So many keys.

Spending the day talking EVs and other, more sustainable transportation options at SEVA's drive electric event.

It's free to attend so if you're in #yqr you should pop in. We're at the trade centre in the REAL district!

I will sit with you here.
And listen not only to your words.
But your heart.
And when you feel that
You cannot find the words,
I will have already known your pulse.
And I will commiserate with you
Until you are ready to go on.

Similar issue here - because a lot of our more rural friends cannot receive courier deliveries we accept them at our shop building.

It's a LOT of people.

And there's a list of smart things they could do that would include services they can sell but then they end up competing with private industry (and doing it better for cheaper, woe) and that can't happen.

I am very salty about the dicking around with my postal service

Shipping from Canada over here. In the olden days that meant easy peasy and cheaper than domestic options.

As somewhere that, technically, has options for getting my stuff to the US ... it doesn't work well yet?

Of my test packages only one has made it so far. One is sitting waiting in limbo on the US side. The other doesn't read as gotten that far.

Brutal. I can't even pinpoint where the failure is.

I used to have a photocopy of the midvale school for the gifted one posted on the window of the locked door to our shop - one of the two is locked and the other opens normally - but it didn't get replaced when it got washed off at one point.

Second Amendment activists in shock as Charlie Kirk shot instead of just schoolchildren OREM, UT - Americans who champion the right to bear arms were shocked Wednesday as controversial commentator Charlie Kirk was shot and killed, as opposed to the ordinarily acceptable trend of mass shootings in schools.

One of my first post college jobs was to complete the English & French technical docs for a few government intranets AND THERE WAS SO MUCH FIGHTING OVER EVERY WORD USE.

And a lot of people complaining about the fad of web pages.

I now absolutely want to buy us the little manila coin envelopes and print something of an homage to the old timey design sensibility of the Craig Co & Dominion Lock for us to package OUR cut keys in to customers.

Art nerd meets hardware I guess.

And keys don't really just stop working so that's fine. They do however change their names and parts numbers like crazy.

I'm having a research and inventory nightmare

The locksmith we bought out didn't use a computer or keep a real inventory. The keys are... minimally... organized and a lot of them are older. This occasionally results in hilarity like this:

Dominion Locks CLOSED in 1985 so that nifty red and yellow box is AT LEAST 40 years old. 2/3
