couldn't agree more. we're all adults and have much bigger, more systemic problems to address than what random people get their rocks off too. if we spent even half the effort on the topics of marginalization and oppression within furry, we'd all be so much better off

my biggest gripe with modern furry is the constant subjection to trivial subjects that most importantly involve real human consenting adults roleplaying and I am at a point where I don't give a shit for one and two I wish we could talk Abt racism or classim instead of the ethics of fucking Lucario.

i mean ultimately, it doesn't matter because we're all just talking on the Internet. you can be grossed out and disgusted and whatever, but recognize and position yourself with that in mind. remember that moral codes should never be guided by gut reactions

the difference matters because pearl clutching helps no one, and only distracts from the actual problems.

my two cents on the discourse, many people are unable to cope with the idea that "offensive" is not the same as "harmful" and sometimes things you find disgusting and offensive are not materially harmful.
