Flipping through Nintendo Power to see advertising for a new N64 game.

Nope. Mechanically and content wise maybe. But TH:UG story mode is know to be the best for a reason. TH:UG 2 is just wacky Woo-hoo Jackass time. And I dare You to go back and play the Campaign in American Wasteland and not tell Me the cutscenes break the pacing.

Underground is a solid choice to remaster. Classic story about rising to the top.

There is no saving the story mode from Underground 2. It makes little to no sense. American Wasteland can maaaaaybe be salvaged. But the original gameplay staggers with endless cutscenes.
